How We Do It: The Diagnostics Approach

 

  • Diagnose HVAC, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), process, or electrical system deficiencies, or establish cause of failure through analysis of acquired data, measurements and tests – we maintain a full inventory of diagnostic equipment in-house.
  • Pinpoint causes of manufacturing process problems and issues of poor product quality as they may relate to the facility’s mechanical and electrical systems using professional engineering judgment, measured data, and analysis.
  • Provide remedial design solutions that address performance, safety, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Measure the effectiveness of recommended solutions following construction using the same tools and techniques used to diagnose the problems.

INDOOR AIR QUALITY STUDY
UNIVERSITY, BOSTON MA

Provided an indoor air quality survey of an existing 27,000 SF building space utilized as an administration area. The area is divided into private offices that average roughly 200-300 SF each. Occupants had complained about noise and particulate issues in their spaces.

NITROGEN VENTING TO ATMOSPHERE,
CT

Existing equipment nitrogen sensors in this manufacturing facility were discharging liquid and gaseous nitrogen into a vent header that was terminated within the occupied space. Client needed to understand how much oxygen was being displaced from the space by Nitrogen gas and if it was below acceptable levels. Client also requested a design (if determined it was required from dilution calculation) for venting Nitrogen to atmosphere (outdoors).
